Kazu is coming home to New York.
He is also bringing his sculptures that have been his heart's desire for some time.

The Kazu that met Takashi Nakazato and trained in karatsu was originally a sculptor.

Studying under Jerry Wingren in Boulder, Colorado, he'd spend all his time carving wood and chiseling stone.

His nature has two faces, can you see his multi-nature habits through his works? Vessel and sculpture are tied closely together like his objective of eating delicious food and spending day and night cooking.

Our friendship has lasted many years, seemingly uncomplicated and simple, however, complex and mysterious. He's straight with himself, but people around him get wound up in his imagination and ideas. Now returned, he's the quiet after the storm, relief.

Exhibition dates are April 6th, 7th, and 8th.

カズがNew Yorkに帰ってくる。
かねてから念願の彫刻の作品もやってくる。
中里隆に出会って唐津で修行したカズは、もともとが彫刻家であった。
コロラド、ボールダーのジェリー ウィングレンに師事、木をくり抜き、石を削り、作品制作に明け暮れていた。

彼の中の２面性、多重性が作品を通して見ることができるだろうか？
器も彫刻も、美味いものを食べるという目的につながっているかのように、毎日、料理に明け暮れる。
何年もの付き合いになるが、単純明解に見えて複雑怪奇。
自分に真っ直ぐなのだろうけど、周りの人間は彼の理想に巻き込まれて行く。
帰った後は、まるで台風一過、ほっとするのである。

会期は４月６日、７日、８日。
