KANAE YUNOME

From her beginnings in Sendai, Japan to studying design in New York City, Kanae Yunome's worldwide travels have influenced her art. She owns the Potterywise workshop in New Jersey, creating functional and beautiful pieces with a personal touch. Indeed, the technique of using her own molds allows Yunome to create charmingly unique pieces that are perfect for everyday life.

Her pieces, she says, aim to both make people smile and show that pottery can be the ideal medium for expressing one's individuality.
